Join Our Team

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the education and wellbeing of our Year 4 pupils.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences, support small groups of pupils, and provide tailored one-to-one support for a child with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver targeted interventions and learning activities to small groups of Year 4 pupils.

Support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

Work one-to-one with a pupil who experiences anxiety, autism, and sensory processing needs, adapting approaches to meet their individual requirements.

Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers, the SEND team, and parents/carers to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

HLTA status or equivalent relevant experience.

A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and anxiety.

Knowledge of sensory needs and strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement.

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.

A patient, flexible, and caring approach to supporting children.
