Are you a creative and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity within a forward-thinking secondary school? Do you want to work as a Design and Technology Teacher in a supportive environment where innovation, practical learning, and student achievement are highly valued? GSL Education Kent is currently recruiting for a dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Medway from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design and Technology Teacher or a confident ECT who is passionate about inspiring the next generation of designers, engineers, and innovators.

Responsibilities

The successful Design and Technology Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills. You will help students develop confidence in designing, making, and evaluating products while supporting them in achieving their full academic potential.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge across Design and Technology disciplines
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical, and differentiated lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Strong organisational and communication abilities
  • A passion for developing students' creativity, technical skills, and confidence
  • A commitment to supporting student progress and achievement
