Financial Manager
We are recruiting a Finance Manager to support the Head of Finance in overseeing the day-to-day finance function. This is a key role within the business, managing transactional teams while contributing to financial reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives.
This position offers a blend of operational finance, team leadership, and commercial insight, with regular interaction across departments including production, IT, sales, and marketing.

Description Financial Operations & Reporting- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and post journals including accruals and prepayments
- Support the production of management information and board packs
- Assist with cashflow forecasting and financial reporting accuracy
- Deliver sales, margin, and customer profitability analysis
- Support development of product and profitability reporting
- Work closely with departmental heads to enhance financial reporting and ownership
- Manage stock valuation and analysis
- Support standard costing and production-related financial processes
- Collaborate with production teams on performance and reporting improvements
- Manage a team of 3 direct reports
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across the business
- Support audit processes and respond to audit queries
- Improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and automation
- Support integration of systems
- Review and enhance existing financial models and reporting tools
- Leadership or people management experience is required.
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Experience in Manufacturing or engineering environments (desirable, not essential).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A highly organized approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
