Our client is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HR professional to support managers across a wide range of employee relations matters while helping to drive improvements in attendance management and people practices.
The successful candidate will provide expert advice, coaching and guidance to managers, ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently, fairly and in compliance with employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of sickness absence and ill-health cases
- Support managers with absence management and attendance improvement plans
- Analyse absence data and identify trends and solutions
- Provide HR advice on disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance matters
- Support investigations, hearings and appeals processes
- Deliver training and coaching to managers on employee relations topics
- Liaise with occupational health providers, trade unions and key stakeholders
- Contribute to the review and improvement of HR policies and procedures
- Ensure employee relations cases are handled fairly, consistently and within agreed timescales
- CIPD Level 3 qualified or equivalent experience
- Previous employee relations and case management experience
- Good knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Experience supporting managers through formal HR processes
- Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload and competing priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams
