Payroll Manager, 12 Month FTC | Medway / Hybrid | Paying £40k - £50k DOE We are working on behalf of our longstanding client to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function within their organisation. This is a hands-on management role, managing the complete payroll cycle across a monthly payroll while ensuring full compliance.

You will act as the subject-matter expert for payroll queries alongside HR, provide accurate reporting and analysis to senior stakeholders, and drive continuous improvements to payroll processes and controls. The role is offering hybrid working

Key Responsibilities Manage the full end-to-end payroll process with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Ensure payroll records are maintained correctly and statutory submissions are completed on time Act as the main escalation point for complex payroll queries and discrepancies Maintain compliance with tax, pension, and employment legislation Prepare payroll reports and insights for senior management Support internal and external audits and implement process improvements Stay up to date with legislative changes and ensure timely implementation About You Proven experience managing high-volume monthly payrolls Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory reporting Confident using payroll systems and advanced Excel Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to tight deadlines CIPP qualification (Level 5 preferred) or equivalent practical experience If you are an experienced payroll professional looking for a role with ownership, leadership, and the opportunity to make a real impact, we’d love to discuss this opportunity with you
