ClearanceGrounds Operative; FTC)

We are looking for a proactive and customer focused Clearance/Grounds Operative to join our team with a strong emphasis on caretaking services across our estates.

This is a varied role where you will play a key part in keeping our communities clean safe and well maintained delivering a high-quality service to our residents every day. While the role includes elements of grounds maintenance and waste services it is rooted in caretaking excellence ensuring communal areas are maintained to the highest standards.

What youll be doing

You will help maintain internal and external communal areas ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents. Your duties will include:

Caretaking and Cleaning
Cleaning communal areas including halls stairs landings and lifts
Removing litter and waste from communal spaces
Maintaining refuse areas bin stores and chute systems
Checking and maintaining communal lighting

Grounds Maintenance

Supporting basic grounds maintenance such as litter picking and vegetation control
Assisting with winter services including snow clearance and gritting
Supporting wider estate services teams where required

Waste Services
Removing fly tipping and bulky waste from estates
Supporting clearance of void properties and communal areas
Reporting environmental issues such as anti-social behaviour vandalism and dog fouling
Ensuring estates are clean presentable and free from hazards

You will have:

• Experience in caretaking / cleaning grounds maintenance or waste services
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic maintenance or DIY skills
• Experience using handheld devices for reporting tasks
• A full UK driving licence
