About the Role
We are recruiting for a Social Worker within a Fostering Recruitment Team responsible for assessing and recruiting prospective foster carers.
This role focuses on completing fostering assessments, responding to enquiries from prospective carers and supporting recruitment campaigns and information events. You will undertake initial visits, complete detailed assessments and present cases to Fostering Panel.
You will manage a caseload of fostering assessments while working closely with internal teams and external partners to support the recruitment of high-quality foster carers.
Key Responsibilities
Assessing prospective foster carers
Completing Form F fostering assessments
Undertaking initial home visits and enquiries
Presenting cases at Fostering Panel
Supporting fostering recruitment campaigns and information sessions
Maintaining accurate records and reports within statutory timescales
Working in partnership with foster carers and professionals What We’re Looking For
Essential
Qualified Social Worker
Social Work England registered
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in safeguarding or assessment teams
Experience assessing foster carers or completing Form F assessments
Knowledge of fostering regulations and relevant legislation Desirable
Experience in fostering recruitment
Panel presentation experience
Independent Fostering Agency or Local Authority fostering background Working Pattern
Hybrid working
