Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team at our Chatham, United States location. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily store operations and manage staff during assigned shifts
- Interact professionally with employees and customers to maintain a positive work environment
- Handle cash management and financial transactions accurately
- Answer phones and process customer orders efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
- Assist in training and supervising team members
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the store manager to achieve sales targets and improve store performance
- Resolve customer complaints and address concerns promptly
- Assist in inventory management and stock control
- Participate in implementing marketing initiatives and promotions
- Proven experience in a retail or food service management role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in basic math and cash handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one
- Positive attitude and customer-oriented mindset
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Experience leading a team; manage staff from 3 to 30 people, motivating them to perform effectively.
- A clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check. Need reliable vehicle with driver’s license.
- A great role model - set high standards for yourself and the team.
- Stores open 365 days a week; schedule flexible but must work when the team needs you most.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
