Location: West Chatsworth
Newco Products is hiring a part-time Web Designer/Developer and office support team member for an in-person role in Chatsworth, CA
. This contract begins as an initial 6-hour engagement and may extend, combining front-end and back-end web work with day-to-day office and phone support.
You will work onsite from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (6 hours/day), helping shape clean, modern experiences across devices while also supporting office needs and occasional small errands.
What you’ll do- Assist with extensive computer-related tasks
- Create labels and help with ordering fasteners
- Answer phones and provide office support
- Design clean, modern, user-friendly web pages
- Work with Open Cart themes, layouts, and customizations
- Collaborate on projects involving Excel
, CHAT GBT AI-driven features
, and API integrations - Ensure responsive design and consistent branding across platforms
- Provide design assets, documentation, and improvement suggestions
- Apply design principles with an understanding of automotive products, terminology, and customer expectations (preferred)
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business,
currently pursuing a Master’s - Use of CHAT GBT extensive in the work
- Experience with web design principles
, UI/UX
, and responsive design - Familiarity with Open Cart
, AI tools
, and API workflows - Proficiency with design tools such as Figma
, Adobe XD
, or Sketch - Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including spreadsheet-heavy tasks
- Possible experience or familiarity with automotive industry
, automotive e-commerce
, or automotive product presentation (highly preferred) - Great hygiene
- Must have transportation to run small errands
