Maintenance Mechanic Bbased in our
Chatsworth, California
manufacturing plant! In this role, you will ensure operations of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing corrective and preventive maintenance requirements onvarious typesof industrial equipment including motors, pumps, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

While performing the duties of the job the employee will stand for an extended period of time, walk, bend, stoop, occasionally lift upto 50lbs, use arms and hands at or above shoulder height, work in high areas including the roof, andoperateequipment including scissor lift.

The
base compensation for this position is $38.50 per hour
and is eligible for overtime. This is a unionized role based on site and the work schedule is as follows (subject to availability):

• Second Shift: Monday – Friday (with occasional Saturday)

In this role, you will be responsible for the following
:

• Compliance with personal safety, food safety, and environmental standards. This includes following all established maintenance processes to adhere to and uphold all plant technical standards and ensure company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations.

• Ownership and adherence to all safety rules, training, and best practices at all times.

• Sustain food safety compliance by maintaining all required periodic department trainings.

• Sustain food safety compliance by adhering to all required record keeping of work validations (PM’s, inspections, checklists etc.)

• Proficient and diligent in use of CMMS system to track maintenance action items, create and close work orders.

• Follow QMS, Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S methodology to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, maintaining audit ready status at all times.

• Effectively complete PM’s as scheduled to eliminate unplanned downtime.

• Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns in manufacturing production equipment.

• Completes preventative maintenance and other reliability tasks, assists in diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds of machines; partners with engineering or others to resolve non-routine repairs and defects.

• Rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve complicated problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, equipment repair, preventative and predictive maintenance in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

• Communicate and work as a team with other key personnel within the operation.

• Supports plant production needs and priorities to achieve plant goals.

• Provide assistance, training and coaching as needed to maintenance team members.

• All other duties as assigned or become evident.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Minimum of 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required is acceptable.

• Experience with high-speed production equipment (process, filling, packing). Previous dairy, food and beverage industry maintenance experience strongly desired.
