Position Overview

We are seeking an Assurance Associate who will assist in planning and preparing audit work papers, performing financial analysis, identifying client issues, and offering value-added recommendations. This role offers strong opportunities for technical growth, hands-on client interaction, and advancement within the assurance practice.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare for audits, including trial balance and lead sheet setup, creating schedules, analyzing spreadsheets, and verifying accuracy of client accounting records.
  • Maintain financial updates and gain an understanding of client business operations.
  • Meet budget and realization goals and support staff in meeting theirs.
  • Identify client issues and clarify service responsibilities during engagements.
  • Participate in staff and intern recruiting activities.
  • Monitor professional developments and research technical accounting issues.
  • Identify and communicate problem areas and propose solutions to managers and partners.
  • Offer value-added suggestions during audits and reviews.
  • Meet assigned chargeable hour goals.
  • Participate in internal training as appropriate.
  • Work toward completing the CPA exam if not already achieved.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA license strongly preferred.
  • Two to five years of public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures and GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
