Accounting and Tax Manager

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

I'm working with a client in the Memphis area that is looking for an Accounting & Tax Manager. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of managing and supervising accounting and tax operations, as well as experience in tax return preparation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing strategic financial advice to our clients.

• Oversee all accounting and tax-related activities, including tax return preparation, financial statement preparation, and general ledger maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including GAAP, IRS, and state tax laws.
• Provide strategic financial advice to clients, including tax planning and financial forecasting.
• Manage and supervise accounting staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all tasks.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure the smooth running of the business.

• CPA or EA required, with a minimum of 5+ years of accounting supervisory/managerial experience.
• 3+ years of experience at a CPA firm preferred.
• Quick Books Pro Advisor preferred.
• Tax return preparation (1040, 1065, 1120) experience required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
