Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled, ambitious, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting tasks, overseeing payroll, and summarizing financial data to clients. The candidate should be able to communicate clear accounting concepts to clients or have the interest to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Conduct and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting standards.
• Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books, Gusto, and other financial management tools for accurate recordkeeping.
• Advise and consult business owners on accounting & retirement strategies.
• Work on special projects such as S Corp election strategies, budgeting, or financial projections.
• Being willing to learn accounting & tax concepts and work close with the CEO.
• Collaborate with bookkeepers and tax accounts and communicate the overall timeline of tasks with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA is not necessary, but is helpful.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments.
• Extensive knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
• Excellent written communication skills for preparing comprehensive financial reports.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
