Job Summary:The Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting in the overall care and education of a group of children from birth through age 12. They provide a nurturing and stable environment and ensure safe surroundings for children under the supervision of the Lead Teacher. The role involves facilitating interactions among children to promote self-esteem, social competence, and intellectual growth, including implementing daily lesson plans developed with the Lead Teacher.
Education:- Required:
High school diploma or equivalent - De-escalation training, if applicable
- Required:
One (1) year experience in a professional childcare setting - Experience with young children in a group setting
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Positive and energetic personality
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Dependable transportation
- Working telephone
- Required:
CPR and First Aid Certification - Negative criminal background check compliant with state childcare licensure requirements
The Assistant Teacher assists in the care and education of children, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Implements lesson plans and supports children's development of self-esteem, social skills, and intellectual abilities.
Location:
Erlanger Baroness Hospital, Chattanooga, TN. Compensation includes a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus. Standard hours are regular/full-time.
