The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Library is seeking an Acquisitions and Metadata Specialist to join the Acquisitions & Content Management unit within the Collection Services Department of the UTC Library.
The Acquisitions and Metadata Specialist works both independently and in support of Librarians within the Acquisitions & Content Management unit by helping to manage the information lifecycle of print and electronic materials (from collection development and acquisition to description and weeding). The person in this position will be part of a team that works to develop, maintain, and provide access to collections that support the teaching, learning, and research needs of the UTC community.
To be successful in this position, the individual must be able to solve complex problems, work both independently and collaboratively, utilize various technologies and systems to complete their work, and communicate effectively with colleagues, patrons, and vendors.
