ASAP Contract Length: 6 months

Schedule & Shift Details:

• 10-hour and 12-hour shifts

• AM and PM shift coverage needed

• Orientation includes shadowing and EMR training

Position Overview:

This Emergency Medicine locums role provides coverage across both the main ED and FSED locations. New graduates are accepted, and providers will practice full-scope emergency medicine in a high-acuity environment with strong clinical support and varying provider structure based on site and shift.

Daily Breakdown / Responsibilities:

• Standard EM procedural expectations: intubations, central lines, laceration repairs

• Nurse/APP triage for lower-acuity patients

• ED admission rate: 10-20%

• Number of ER bays: 18

• Patient volume: 108 patients / hour (total department load; distributed among team)

• Patient mix: all acuity levels

Provider Coverage Structure:

• FSED: 1:1 (Physician + APP)

• Main Campus: 1 physician to 2 APPs until 2:00 a.m., then 1:1 starting 08:00 a.m.

• EM residency trained - Required
