We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team at Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital
. The hospital is a 144‑bed treatment center located at the corner of Holtzclaw and Citico avenues in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Our inpatient and outpatient services help adolescents and adults of all genders find lasting healing from a variety of mental health concerns and co‑occurring substance use disorders.
Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication.
Responsibilities- Providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
- Practicing within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as corporate, facility policy or procedures.
- Reviewing medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
- Evaluating patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
- Treating or directing treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
- Reviewing and completing medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner.
- Maintaining confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
- Licensed in the state in which the facility operates.
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
