Responsibilities
Under indirect supervision, provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice or for a specified patient population. They lead the medical team and coordinate care for inpatients. They may examine individuals as they're admitted, ordering x-rays, diagnostic tests, and other lab work; they'll also analyze test results, order treatments and medical services, and prescribe medications.

Prescribe medications or treatment regimens to hospital inpatients.
Order or interpret the results of tests such as laboratory tests or x-rays.
Conduct discharge planning and discharge patients.
Education, Training, and Experience
MD or DO degree
Board certified/board eligible
Ability to obtain an active medical license in state of Tennessee and/or Georgia
AHA BLS certification
CHI Memorial in Chattanooga, TN is searching for a highly qualified, board certified or board eligible Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our Hospital Employed Group of 87+ physicians and APPs across 3 hospitals.
7 on /7 off shifts, 7a - 7p, Tuesday to Monday
Physician swing shift coverage until midnight
No Pediatrics, OB, or Trauma
No codes – Rapid Response Team
No after hours call
Reasonable census
Closed ICUs staffed by Intensivists
