• Teach several visual art courses for middle/upper school students.
• Design and implement art curriculum that encourages artistic risk taking and personal expression.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align visual arts content with broader curricular goals across disciplines.
• Create lessons that build an excitement for art.
• Use a variety of different materials and art styles to diversify student experiences in art making.
• Evaluate each student’s progress in their knowledge and skills.
• Communicate with parents to discuss the individual student’s progress.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, and professional development sessions.
• Serve as an advisor for a group of students, offering support, mentorship, and guidance to help them thrive academically and personally.
• Participate in extracurricular responsibilities, including assisting with sports teams or monitoring student clubs and events.

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Education, or related required. Master’s degree in visual arts or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of K-12 teaching experience preferred.
• Passion for visual art, art history, and the fine arts.
• Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning.
• Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.

• Willingness to work with middle and high school students.
• Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.

Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
