Overview

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts is a Paideia Magnet school located on Jersey Pike in Chattanooga, TN. Academics, Citizenship, and Communication skills are the top priorities s interim position will teach 6th Grade integrated English Language Arts and Social Studies. Seeking innovative applicants with a desire to learn and grow in the profession.

• Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
• Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
• Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
• Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection

• Positive, student-focused educators with strong content and classroom management skills
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Committed to high expectations and academic achievement for all students
• Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth
• Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus
• Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Tennessee teaching license in English/Language Arts 6-8, 6-12 English OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
• Compensation & Additional Info:
  • Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
  • Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
