Regional Planning Leader – Watersheds & Stormwater
Join Black & Veatch as a Regional Planning Leader focused on stormwater planning, design, water quality, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and green infrastructure across the Eastern United States. The role is based in the Eastern US with regular travel.
Key Responsibilities- Lead business development across the Eastern US, identifying and capturing stormwater and related services.
- Plan and design stormwater improvements, nature-based solutions, coastal resilience, flood mitigation, erosion control, regulatory compliance, and scenario planning.
- Build client relationships to drive business growth.
- Hire and grow local business teams.
- Occasionally act as Project Manager for execution of services.
- Interface with partners to leverage new technologies and approaches.
- 15+ years of water resources planning and design experience.
- Experience with municipal and utility water resources projects.
- Ability to manage and lead a geographically distributed team.
- Familiarity with platforms such as HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, EPA/XP‑SWMM, Info Works ICM, EFDC, CFD, ArcGIS, Cityworks, Lucity.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and client‑facing/business development efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from a recognized accredited program.
- Minimum of 11 years of related work experience.
- P.E. – Registered Professional Engineer.
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on discretion and performance.
Salary Range$128,554 – $282,475 (annual)
