Kunin Technologies is revolutionizing the critical mineral supply chain by implementing advanced separation technologies to capture value from overlooked resources.
Metals are everywhere—in solar panels, smartphones, electric vehicles—but as ore grades plummet globally, traditional extraction methods are failing. China dominates critical minerals markets by developing superior separation technologies that extract value from materials American mines discard as waste.
Utilizing Kunin Technologies’ breakthrough mass manufacturable nano-separation systems, significantly more value can be produced from each resource, reducing waste, and unlocking domestic critical mineral production.
MISSION FOR YEAR 1You will lead the mechanical execution of two successive equipment generations of modular process skids for deployment at mine sites across the U.S.
Perform footprint and ancillary CAPEX minimization to maximize system economics. Work cross functionally with process controls, mechanical design, and process engineering team members to achieve system KPIs.
By the end of 2026, we expect:
- A standardized, mature skid platform that minimizes build time and cost per unit.
- A parametric cost model tied to size, materials, and throughput.
- An execution plan for scaling from pilot to commercial deployment.
- Lead mechanical design of modular pilot test skids built for wet corrosive, low‑pressure operation and tight space constraints.
- Define and achieve flow distribution and pressure loss targets through header design modeling and measured verification.
- Oversee integration of mechanical and electrical components including device mounting, wiring, routing, and enclosure layouts.
- Deliver complete design packages with drawings, models, datasheets and controlled manufacturing documentation.
- Manage in‑house assembly and testing to ensure mechanical completion of code compliance and readiness for in‑field operation.

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering.
- At least 2 years taking mechanical or chemical process equipment from design through mechanical completion and start‑up.
- Demonstrated factory and site acceptance testing leadership for capital equipment or packaged systems.
- Lead process piping or pressure vessel‑work with vendors.
- Built P&IDs and general‑arrangement drawings, including hands‑on experience building modules.
This role will pay $80,000 - $140,000, benefits, and equity.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS- Must be willing to relocate to Chattanooga, TN and available to travel to customers across the United States, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, and Australia for process technology installation and commissioning.
Chattanooga is more beautiful than expected, and Tennessee has no income tax.
