Job Description Principal Cellulose Technology Engineer - Chattanooga, TN

Job Summary Are you a seasoned Cellulose Technology Engineer looking for a dynamic and fast-paced role where you can utilize your skills and make a real impact? Look no further, we have the position you’ve been looking for!

Job Responsibilities
  • Comply fully with local and ADM’s safety regulations/standards and promote safety culture. Drive continuous process safety improvement.
  • Support Product and Process Development work collaboratively with R&D and Operations.
  • Support Operations run planning and execution for process and quality targets.
  • Develop, Implement and Support Statistical Process Control methodologies.
  • Assist local Operation Leadership in the capital budgeting and execution process to ensure requirements and guidelines for Divisional and Central Projects are achieved.
  • Manage capital spending to annual budget targets and report spending performance and forecast to ensure utilization of allocated funds. Work with the manufacturing representatives to ensure on scope, on-time, on budget execution of projects.
  • Drive Operational Excellence and process optimization ideas. Initiation, development and execution of process improvements and approved capital projects in close cooperation with process engineers.
  • Manage the project portfolio in cooperation with the local Plant Manager and the Regional Director Oilseeds Technology.
  • Develop 5-year capital project portfolio to ensure improved productivity of the facility. Ensure that the proper projects are identified and in line with long term business objectives. Assist Operation Leadership in the evaluations and prioritization of capital projects.
  • Remain current with new process technology developments and equipment suppliers.
  • Training and development of process engineers.
  • Assist in troubleshooting when the location is not able to solve.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in the fields of chemistry, food processing, production manufacturing, engineering, technology, or other related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in cellulose and related production processes. Preferably as superintendent or project engineer.
  • 5-10 years of experience in safety, health, environment and quality, production/processes, and project management.
  • P&L responsibility/cost management experience.
  • Senior leadership interaction experience.
  • Operation excellence/continuous improvement experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Compliance and safety experience.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan.
