Process Engineer – Chemical Manufacturing
Location: Chattanooga, TN area
We’re hiring a Process Engineer to support and improve chemical manufacturing operations at a well-established production site in the Chattanooga, TN area. This role is hands‑on and plant‑facing, focused on process optimization, troubleshooting, safety, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do- Develop, optimize, and monitor chemical manufacturing processes
- Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements to improve quality, yield, and cost
- Support scale‑ups, experimental runs, and new product introductions
- Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis in collaboration with operations
- Participate in HAZOPs, PHAs, MOCs, and safety reviews
- Create process documentation, SOPs, and operating instructions
- Support capital projects from design through startup
- BS in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline
- Experience in chemical or regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong problem‑solving, data analysis, and communication skills
- Hands‑on, plant‑based mindset with a strong safety focus
- High‑impact, visible engineering role
- Strong partnership with operations and leadership
