* Position Overview:

* As a CEI Project Manager at LJA Transportation, you will be responsible for all inspection activities for the Construction Engineering & Inspection Group on Transportation projects. You will work directly with the Construction Manager(s) to adequately staff projects.

* Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the Project Management Team to achieve operational and performance goals.
• Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of assigned projects.
• Manage project budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address on-site needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications.
• Support inspection crews in monitoring contractor workmanship and materials.
• Verify material testing results, pay items, and related documentation.
• Identify and resolve project conflicts or risks promptly, escalating major issues as needed.
• Review and evaluate change order requests for accuracy and necessity.
• Support business development by pre-selling future project opportunities.

* Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
• 10+ years experience on Transportation projects.
• 4+ years supervising highway construction inspection staff.
• Ability to perform work on active job sites safely and proficiently.
• Professional representation of LJA and its clients.
• Clean driving record; DMV check required.
