Electrical Design Technician
Join Jacobs as an Electrical Design Technician supporting our data center design team. Your impact will be worldwide as you collaborate with Revit Technicians, Designers, Engineers and Architects to design and draft drawings for various facility design projects, applying diversified knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD to prepare construction drawings for MEP systems.
Base pay range$66,000.00/yr - $90,800.00/yr
Responsibilities- Design and draft facility drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with engineering and architectural teams to develop MEP system design.
- Prepare construction drawings and details for facility projects.
- Assist with project set‑up, template creation, and file management (central and local files).
- Manage work‑sets, control visibility, and utilize Revit families and schedules and parameters.
- At least 7 years of experience using Revit and AutoCAD for building‑related designs.
- BS degree reduces this requirement by 1–2 years.
- Proficient in creating and updating templates and project set‑up in Revit.
- Familiarity with central and local file workflows.
- Ability to manage work‑sets, control visibility, and use parameters in Revit families and schedules.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong skills with Revit 2017 & 2018, BIM
360, Autodesk, BIM 360 GLUE and Navisworks. - U.S. citizenship.
