Sales Engineer

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced professional to lead technical quoting and project coordination in a manufacturing environment, with strong preference for nuclear industry expertise. This role requires exceptional technical writing, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex drawings and compliance documentation.

• Develop accurate quotations, proposals, and technical documentation.
• Interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and nuclear QA requirements.
• Support manufacturability reviews, engineering changes, and project planning.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide technical support during meetings.
• Collaborate across departments to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Occasional travel for customer visits and industry events.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline/equivalent experience).
• Experience:
  
  5 years in manufacturing, sales engineering, quoting, or technical project management (10 years preferred).
• Industry Knowledge:
  Familiarity with nuclear compliance frameworks (NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1).
• Skills:
  
  Technical writing, cost modeling, risk analysis, and strong communication/organization.

• Manufacturing process expertise (CNC machining, fabrication, engineering services).
• Proposal development and bid package preparation.
• Analytical costing and schedule planning.
• Relationship management and cross‑functional collaboration.

This is a Permanent position based out of Chattanooga, TN.

The pay range for this position is $ – $/yr.
