Electrical Designer Description

• Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and P& using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop electrical BOMs and support documentation.
• Program electronic controllers and radar devices; PLC programming is a plus.
• Support internal teams with technical expertise and participate in design reviews and product development.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards; manage engineering documentation and change requests.

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits (digital/analog), VFDs, soft starters, and fiber optics.
• Familiar with NEC, NFPA 70, and C1D2 standards.
• Skilled in designing and troubleshooting 3-phase and single-phase power systems, control circuits, and performing voltage drop and arc flash calculations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; must be eligible for a U.S. passport and TWIC card.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chattanooga, TN.
