Loan Portfolio Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The Loan Portfolio Manager is responsible for the ongoing management, monitoring, and performance of the officer loan portfolio by tracking credit quality, monitoring risk trends, supporting loan officers with credit analysis, and working directly with customers to maintain strong relationships. The Portfolio Manager also assists with loan documentation, compliance monitoring, and account servicing as needed.

• Monitor the performance of assigned commercial, consumer, or real estate loans. Track loan covenant compliance, maturity dates, past dues, and exceptions; elevate concerns promptly.
• Perform periodic portfolio reviews and prepare reports for management and committees.
• Identify early warning signs of credit deterioration and recommend corrective action.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent banking experience).
• 3+ years of experience in lending, credit analysis, or loan review in a community bank or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statement review, and loan structuring.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FDIC, state banking laws, CRA, BSA/AML considerations).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and relationship management skills with customers and internal teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite, loan/core banking software, and financial analysis systems.
• Developed analytical and underwriting expertise with a credit quality focus preferred.

Full-time, onsite role in our Chattanooga, Tennessee office. May travel occasionally to customer locations or branch offices. Some extended hours during reporting or examination periods.
