Salary: $53,125 – $84,995

• Provide personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families at assigned military installations, including one‑on‑one counseling, briefings, and presentations.
• Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develop and make available informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize, and deliver a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering the military lifecycle (arrival, deployment, post‑deployment, career events).
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic means such as web‑based chat or video‑teleconference, as authorized by the OSD FINRED Program Office.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations per DoD protocol.
• Communicate with installation leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing trends and issues.
• Participate in in‑services, training, quality‑improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required; a 2‑year degree plus 4 years of experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract.
• Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Certification required:
  Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• Valid driver’s license, valid in state.
