Universal Banker/CSR (Chattanooga) – Tower Community Bank
The Universal Banker/CSR serves as the first point of contact for customers, providing high‑quality service while performing a full range of banking transactions. This role combines traditional teller responsibilities with new‑account opening, digital banking support, and basic lending assistance. The position ensures customers receive prompt, professional service and supports overall branch sales, service, and operational goals.
- Greet customers, identify needs, and provide personalized service.
- Resolve customer inquiries and service issues promptly.
- Promote bank products and services and refer opportunities as appropriate.
- Assist customers with digital banking enrollment and troubleshooting.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other transactions accurately.
- Balance cash drawer daily and follow dual‑control procedures.
- Verify negotiable instruments and identify potential fraud.
- Follow all security, BSA/AML, OFAC, and fraud‑prevention policies.
- Open consumer accounts and ensure complete, compliant documentation.
- Perform account maintenance including address changes, stop payments, and debit card replacements.
- Perform CIP verification and adhere to all regulatory requirements.
- Educate customers on account features, requirements, and fees.
- Assist customers with consumer loan inquiries and applications.
- Maintain knowledge of bank policies, procedures, products, and systems.
- Perform ITM settlement tasks as assigned.
- Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and branch meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow GLBA/privacy requirements.

Qualifications- High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior banking or financial customer service experience preferred.
- Cash-handling and/or teller experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with account opening and digital banking systems is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
- Ability to learn and explain bank products and digital tools.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
