Physical Therapist Assistant

Paxxon Healthcare Services, a therapist‑owned and operated company, offers evidence‑based, person‑centered therapeutic services to residents. We are looking for a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to partner with patients throughout their recovery journey, maximizing quality of life and movement potential.

• Demonstrate skill in physically therapy techniques, treating patients effectively and responding to their needs.
• Maintain patient dignity and modesty, establishing rapport and explaining treatments.
• Follow accepted precautions and contraindications, utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques.
• Provide accurate and timely patient records, completing daily documentation for clinical and billing purposes.
• Communicate significant changes in patient progress, modify treatment plans if necessary, and document equipment, home programs, and handouts.
• Maintain professional communication with physicians, POA, nurses, social workers, occupational and speech therapists.
• Consult when directed by the Physical Therapist and attend patient‑related meetings per facility policy.
• Understand insurance guidelines related to rehabilitation services.
• Perform all other duties necessary for efficient, economic, and quality operation of the department.
• Project a professional appearance, suggest department improvements, and demonstrate leadership when supervising non‑licensed staff.

Physical Therapy Assistants must possess an Associate of Science degree from an accredited institution.

Physical Therapy Assistants must be licensed in the state of practice by the Board of Physical Therapy and provide an acceptable criminal background check.
