Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You’ll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support. Every day you will apply your keen assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs, develop and execute effective care plans, and ensure calm, focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.

Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans in collaboration with the medical team. Assess patients’ respiratory status before, during, and after interventional pulmonary procedures. Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, and other relevant parameters.
Respiratory Care DeliveryProvide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical/surgical conditions. Manage and maintain artificial airways, including endotracheal tubes and tracheostomomies. Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments. Perform airway clearance techniques. Assist with bronchoscopy procedures, including specimen collection and airway management. Assist with endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) procedures. Assist with thoracentesis and chest tube insertion. Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators.
Provide ventilator support and weaning as directed by the physician. Assist with the management of patients with pneumothorax, pleural effusions, and other respiratory complications.
Prepare and maintain specialized equipment used in interventional pulmonary procedures (e.g., bronchoscopes, EBUS equipment, cryotherapy equipment, laser equipment). Assist physicians with interventional pulmonary procedures, including but not limited to Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Thoracentesis, Pleuroscopy, Airway Stenting, Cryotherapy, Laser Therapy, and Balloon Bronchoplasty. Monitor patients during and after interventional pulmonary procedures for complications such as bleeding, pneumothorax, and respiratory distress. Provide post‑procedure respiratory care and monitoring.
DocumentationPerform timely and accurate documentation with the idea of real‑time charting. Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatments, and responses.
Quality ImprovementPromote continuous quality improvement. Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives. Monitor quality control standards for the department.
EducationEducate and counsel patients, family members, and caregivers regarding respiratory care and disease management. Participate in the training and education of other healthcare professionals.
Job Requirements- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program and Six (6) to twelve (12) months’ experience in Respiratory Care or other related field, upon hire
- Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner: TN, upon hire
- AHA Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 30 days
