- Manage daily Human Resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee relations.
- Partner with department leaders to support staffing needs, performance management, and employee development.
- Administer employee relations matters, including coaching, counseling, investigations, and corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and ongoing training programs.
- Oversee benefits administration, leave management, and personnel records.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HR documentation.
- Support performance review processes and talent development initiatives.
- Promote employee engagement, recognition, and retention programs.
- Serve as a resource for Team Members regarding policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
- Prepare HR-related reports and track key metrics as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and employment law.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with professionalism and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
- Ability to coach leaders and influence positive employee outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Regular walking throughout the hotel to access departments and meet with Team Members.
- Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to operate effectively in mentally demanding situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience; hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented leadership style.
