Reporting to the Services & Networking Manager, the Network Engineer is responsible for working with our industrial manufacturing customers to troubleshoot, maintain, support, and assist in maturing and migrating plant network infrastructures.

• Respond to technical service needs for networking and security devices, servers, and storage subsystems at client locations
• Develop scope of work and cost estimates for on‑site customer work
• Deliver services such as network assessments, vendor‑assisted network designs, switch configurations, wireless surveys, and virtual environment installations
• Interface with clients to perform additional on‑site customer support which may include isolating and resolving technical issues, configuring or reconfiguring switches, routers, and firewalls, installs, moves, or other changes as identified for both the active and physical network hardware
• Provide timely, professional documentation and record keeping of all work completed
• Self‑cultivate opportunities for IT/Network services and follow through to completion
• Provide pre‑sales support and backup to the Network Specialist
• Continually learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge

• Experience:
  
  2 years’ in enterprise field service support role providing hardware and network support for clients
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in computer/network engineering, computer technology, information technology or Technology diploma in related field, or equivalent experience
• Analytics/Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Demonstrable skills in L2 & L3 switching and routing, VPNs, NAT, Virtualization;
  Ability to test and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling;
  Ability to troubleshoot active network technology;
  Ability to apply basic design principles and layout architectures for customers
