JOB SUMMARYThe Senior Group Underwriter position will be responsible for underwriting complex Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Disability, Permanent Life, and Traditional Group Term Life and Disability products, using the Majesco/IQX quoting platforms. This will involve new business quotes and renewals for Chubb Workplace Benefits. The individual will partner with sales during the proposal and renewal process to grow sales while maintaining a profitable block of business based on company guidelines.
The Senior Group Underwriter will also focus on integrating new underwriting and administrative platforms to create world‑class service via a straight‑through processing system. This role requires exceptional technical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, a deal‑maker mentality, the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment, and a results‑driven, detail‑oriented mindset.
- Develop new underwriting and administration platforms and relate them to underwriting functionality.
- Engage with Sales to present competitive Chubb proposals by optimizing plan design and pricing for a particular client.
- Create proposals for potential clients that position Chubb favorably to secure business per company guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate with other functional areas during the onboarding of new group clients to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Gather data on group clients and distribution partners to ensure underwriting offers are within compliance parameters.
- Participate and lead initiatives related to group underwriting continuous improvement and support other Chubb Worksite functions.
- Meet all departmental goals for productivity, quality, and turnaround time.

- Previous experience defining system requirements and conducting user acceptance testing a plus.

- 4+ years of group and/or voluntary benefits underwriting experience.
- Advanced knowledge of voluntary benefits products.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
