Service Electric Company is seeking a
Transformer Operations Manager
for the East Region Technical Services Team. As the Transformer Operations Regional Manager East, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, execution, fleet maintenance, training of personnel, report review, time and expenses for personnel, and safety operations of the business in the East region.
The position will be based out of our Chattanooga, TN office and will travel to work sites in the eastern United States.
POSITION FUNCTIONS- Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and manage a team of installers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence throughout the regional organization. - Scheduling and Planning:
Develop and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring they align with customer expectations and project timelines. - Resource Management:
Allocate resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to ensure projects are completed efficiently. - Quality Control:
Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications. - Client Communication:
Serve as a point of contact for the client, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns. - Budget Management:
Manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within the allocated funds. - Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all installations are conducted in accordance with quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements across all projects. Foster a culture of safety by promoting and enforcing safety policies and practices to protect employees, customers, and the public. - Technical Expertise:
Possess a strong understanding of transformer installation practices and procedures. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting the industry. - Procurement:
May be involved in procuring materials and equipment for projects. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of project progress, including installation documentation and reports. - Troubleshooting:
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to transformer installations. - Training:
May be responsible for training new installers on safety procedures and installation techniques. - Other duties as assigned.
- A proven track record in planning, organizing, and managing complex projects in the construction industry, with a minimum of 10 years experience.
- Familiarity with transformer installation procedures, electrical standards, and safety protocols.
- The ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during installation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to conduct self in an appropriate manner as a representative of SEC, working effectively in a diverse work environment.
- A valid U.S. drivers license is required
>50% – Potential for heavy travel as needed is required
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTThis position will work in a normal office setting, but will be required to travel to and visit work sites.
