Job Title:
Multi Craft Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all production machinery, including paint process machines, paint robotics, hydraulic presses, conveyor systems, welders, and rack systems. You will also perform general maintenance duties to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair paint process machines, paint robotics, hydraulic presses, and conveyor systems.
Weld and fabricate all necessary modifications.
Perform preventive maintenance checks for paint equipment and maintain cleanliness.
Assist Automation Technicians with needed repairs.
Apply 5 'S' Standards to paint line equipment.
Install and maintain a variety of mechanical, electrical, electronic transmission testing, and control equipment.
Diagnose and solve mechanical, electrical, or electronic issues with paint application and support equipment.
Design and install supports, conduit, wiring, and piping for various equipment.
Build large single-phase and three-phase equipment from wiring diagrams and sketches.
Diagnose and repair breakdowns in the Paint Department equipment.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and guidelines by NFPA, NEC, OSHA, etc.
Operate various power tools, including grinders, drill presses, and saws.
Responsible for rigging, moving machinery, and accurate installation.
Ensure all equipment is properly lubricated and maintained.
Troubleshoot and diagnose repairs on all paint line equipment.
Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
Experience with robotics and PLC troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret schematics.
Knowledge of conveyor systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Industrial maintenance experience.
Ability to weld and fabricate.
Experience with preventive maintenance.
Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, and OSHA codes and guidelines.
Work in a climate-controlled manufacturing paint environment on a 2nd shift schedule from 2 pm to 10:30 pm. Training will occur on a rotating 12-hour schedule, typically over a six-month period, with hours from 5:30 am to 6 pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.11 - $40.11/hr.
