Day Shift Maintenance Technician; TWG

Want to join an amazing team? A Steel Mill company located in Chattanooga, TN has an open role for a Maintenance Technician. This role is a fit for someone with a mechanical aptitude, strong problem‑solving skills and a deep understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• This is a great Direct Hire opportunity!
• 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7 AM - 5:30 PM (OT on Fridays as needed)
• Flexible schedule is required; (40‑50 hours per week)
• No rotating shifts

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Follow safety rules and regulations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Install, assemble and test new machines and equipment.
• Perform repair service for site equipment.
• Complete written record of work performed onsite.
• Work effectively as a team member.

• High school diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license required.
• 1 year of experience in a mechanical and manufacturing maintenance role.
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals with maintenance guidance.
• Familiarity using various power and hand tools such as impacts, drills, torque wrenches, and grinders.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience working with welding equipment, forklifts, cranes, and hydraulics.
• Overhead crane maintenance.
• Industrial mechanical (strong).
• Laser tables.

  From $23.70 per hour
