RN Dialysis Fulltime

RN Dialysis Fulltime Days – Erlanger Medical Center

A registered critical‑care nurse employed by Erlanger Medical Center is responsible for direct and/or indirect patient care and for safely performing all dialysis treatments and therapies within the unit.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Preferred: N/A

• Required:
  
  Knowledge of general nursing principles, policies, regulations, current trends, and special education areas.
• Preferred: ICU or prior dialysis experience.

• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee.
• BLS completed prior to assignment and maintained.
• Tennessee nursing license to be obtained within 3 months for non‑TN residents.

• Familiar with hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, apheresis, and continuous renal replacement therapy modalities.
• Assess for complications and outcomes of each modality.
• Start, check, test, and troubleshoot fixed and portable R.O. water treatment systems.
• Completed a critical care course, maintain ACLS and BLS certification.
• Available to take on‑call at least twice a week and work overtime to provide staffing and complete necessary patient treatments.
• Serve as a resource to other units caring for patients with renal failure and be willing to travel to other units for different dialysis catheter types.
