Nurse Tech – Neuro ICU PRN

Join Erlanger Medical Center as a licensed registered nurse providing direct and/or indirect care to patients in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit.

The Nurse Tech is responsible for direct patient care, monitoring invasive lines, performing neurological examinations, and implementing unit policies and procedures. The role requires knowledge of growth and development, ability to assess acute or critical status, and proficiency in neuro patient care.

• Provide direct patient care in the Neuro ICU.
• Monitor and maintain invasive lines (ICP, ventricular drains).
• Perform neurological exams and respond to acute changes.
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Operate necessary equipment and perform unit procedures.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license; within one year of graduation acceptable.
• BLS certification prior to assignment and ongoing maintenance.
• Knowledge of general nursing principles and practice skills.
• Familiarity with medical and post-operative care of acute or critical neuro patients.
• Ability to assess patient data reflective of acute or critical status.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience in Neuro ICU or critical care setting.
