Unit staffing description
- Unit clerk on days, 2-3 PCT s day & night, Nursing Supervisor, Hospitalists
Type of equipment:
Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Client Telemetry and Rover s
Documentation system:
Meditech-HCA version
Medications: WOW for all nurses, PyxisES dispensing system
Scheduling requirements: equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts/4-week schedule)
Floating policy: other M/S areas: general MS, Ortho, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), M/S surgical w oncology. We rotate unless skill mix is needed.
Patient Experience requirements:
Bedside Rounding, Hourly Rounding with 5P s checked. Reporting to PCT s of known needs at beginning and during shifts, Check glass board for dept focus areas, Scrolling video kiosk available as well as email for update references.

Chest Tube management, wound vac management, EKG s ad lib,
