American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring TN or compact RN licensure and 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience.

• 30-bed Med/Surg unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Support staff includes clinical coordinators, unit secretary, PCTs, and case management
• Uses equipment such as walkers, IV pumps, and SCDs
• Documentation via Meditech
• Overnight shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 28-day schedule
• Falls into holiday rotation
• Floating required in rotation with other staff

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with respiratory, renal, and GI diseases/illnesses preferred
• Experience with telemetry, CVCs, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips preferred
• Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit
• Unit emphasizes patient experience through communication boards
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No local candidates will be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
