Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift position requiring ER triage experience and TNCC certification.

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
• ER experience with triage skills required
• Ability to manage behavioral health patients
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, CPI, and TNCC
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• 19-bed Emergency Department unit
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Unit staffed with one unit secretary per shift, no tech support
• Uses GE monitors and iMobile equipment
• Charting via Meditech with Tele-Neuro documentation
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends
• No floating required
• Procedures performed include tele-neuro monitoring, moderate sedation, and basic joint reduction
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of patient acuities including behavioral health and stroke cases
• Follows AIDET patient experience standards and uses communication boards
• Navy blue scrub dress code required
• Unit policies and guidelines covered during orientation
• Unit holds Chest Pain Accreditation and DAISY Award recognition
• High employee and patient satisfaction scores reported for this unit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
