We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency & Critical Care Department for a Weekend Day Shift schedule.

Friday - Sunday | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

This role is ideal for veterinary professionals who enjoy emergency medicine, hands‑on patient care, and the opportunity to work closely with a highly experienced emergency and specialty team.

• Support veterinarians and credentialed technicians in delivering high‑quality emergency and critical care
• Provide exceptional client service through clear communication, education, and compassion
• Perform diagnostic procedures including radiographs, urinalysis, bloodwork, fecals, and cytology
• Administer medications via IV, SQ, IM, and PO routes
• Place and maintain intravenous catheters
• Assist with sedated or anesthetized procedures, including wound and laceration repair
• Monitor and support hospitalized patients, ensuring comfort and safety
• Accurately dispense medications as directed
• Maintain clean, organized, and well‑stocked treatment and exam areas

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience required
• Emergency or specialty hospital experience strongly preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Tennessee preferred but not required for assistants
• Strong technical, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and client‑service skills
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, emotional resilience, and a passion for emergency medicine
• Desire to learn, grow, and be part of a collaborative team
