We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in United States.
The Quality Inspector performs receipt and in-process dimensional and visual inspection of machined and fabricated parts, purchased items and finished assemblies. Create and record inspection results on appropriate inspection report using Microsoft Excel and Word. Reviews sub-contractor procedures and reports; and maintains department records and procedures for current code requirements. Position functions independently with occasional guidance from the Quality Assurance Manager.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
- Performs dimensional and visual inspection of machined and fabricated parts, purchased items and finished assemblies in accordance with appropriate specifications.
- Monitors for compliance to processes and procedures.
- Communicate with manufacturing personnel concerning priority of inspection.
- Perform surveillance activities at Supplier facilities to determine compliance and acceptability of equipment/process being supplied.
- Interfaces with 3rd party and Customer inspectors as required.
- Regular and reliable attendance with flexible work habits and schedule.
- Supports, cooperates with, and participates in EHS Management System, including following safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
- Sulzer procedure review and implementation assistance.
- Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
- ASNT Certification for NDE Level I or Level II for PT, MT, UT and/or VT, preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft and SAP applications.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, procedures, and specifications, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Understanding appropriate application of inspection techniques.
- Working knowledge of ASME, ASTM, AWS and other relative codes, preferred.
- Good written and oral communication, organizational skills, and ability to perform basic math.
- High School Diploma required.
