Responsibilities- Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats, and in person; communicate clearly, adapt style, and resolve conflict.
- Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver a five-star experience.
- Meet all service vows, including preparing, welcoming, and meeting customer needs; complete operational checklist tasks.
- Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously and contribute to store’s Five-Star Customer Service.
- Proactively address customer concerns, knowing when to escape and partner with leadership.
- Effectively communicate how alterations can perfect the dress for the special event.
- Promote all alterations services and personalization options.
- Maintain store standards (clean, organized, promotional readiness) for a flawless shopping experience.
- Maintain high dress code standards per policy.
- Greet and escort all alterations customers to and from appointments.
- Press, steam, and spot clean all merchandise.
- Follow quality control guidelines and inspect garments before final delivery.
- Build long-term relationships to exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support inventory management by processing special orders and pickups.
- Process transactions accurately at the cash wrap.
- Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager for unresolved customer issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized alterations room.
- Perform duties and tasks as assigned by store management.
- Occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds.
- Manual dexterity required for POS use, counting money, steaming garments, sewing, and fittings.
- Visual and auditory acuity for computer, electronic device, and phone use for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years prior retail experience in apparel or specialty store.
- Prior sewing experience is helpful.
- Prior experience with computerized POS systems.
