A responsive, forward‑thinking professional will lead aftermarket parts sales across Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. The role engages in outside sales, maintains customer relationships, and expands business while keeping a strong focus on quality products and service.
About the PositionThe Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for Aftermarket Parts Sales within the three-state region. Working remotely, the candidate must reside in the territory (Louisiana, Arkansas, or Mississippi) and will generate new business while maintaining existing accounts. Excellent communication and sales acumen are essential for success in this role.
LocationRemote. You must reside within the territory covered (Louisiana, Arkansas, or Mississippi).
Key Deliverables- Establish meaningful relationships with existing and new customers.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to align with Astec’s goals.
- Communicate with customers regarding equipment performance issues associated with parts, service, and new equipment.
- Assist with training for existing and prospective customers.
- Maintain written and electronic records of sales‑related leads, contacts, referrals, and information for the correct department.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Astec’s goals, services, clients, and processes.
- Oversee all customer account management, sales, credit problems, warranties, and business development in the territory.
- Attend industry trade shows, meetings and conventions to enhance knowledge, stay current on trends, and generate business opportunities.
- Attend customer service training hosted by Astec and other functions as necessary.
- Achieve quality results in line with the company’s vision and mission.
- Promote and educate others on Astec’s core values.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety rules at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of sales experience with an in‑depth understanding of customer relations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, ability to handle and resolve customer complaints, and ability to solve practical problems related to heating systems and parts.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and as part of a team.
- Overnight travel (approximately 3–4 days a week) required.
- Must successfully pass drug screening, physical, background check, and hold a valid driver’s license.
