Our Security Officers protect the Industrial or Commercial property of our clients against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry. Our clients range from Class‑A office buildings, luxurious residential properties, distilleries, Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, telecommunications, manufacturing, hospitals, and many other sectors. The successful candidate will be a problem solver, possess critical‑thinking skills, and be detail‑oriented. The operator monitors cameras and alarms, dispatches associated calls, and provides assistance to employees and guests.
The operator also answers routine and emergency calls, monitors video equipment, supports general assistance to employees, vendors, and guests, coordinates responses to life‑safety incidents, and communicates information to leadership as appropriate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Monitor various tools to identify threats and/or risks to the organization.
- Coordinate response to life safety incidents (medical, safety, natural disasters, etc.) and dispatch security officers, CRT, facilities, police, fire, and EMS personnel via telephone, radio, or software systems.
- Maintain records of communications and events.
- Handle sensitive situations while maintaining company confidentiality and information‑security practices.
- Conduct investigative video reviews, report findings, and assist investigations.
- Properly document all incidents and notify appropriate parties per escalation procedures.
- Ensure all systems within the CTC function properly and report deficiencies.
- Coordinate the response of on‑site security personnel using surveillance tools to identify restricted‑area intrusions.
- Monitor extreme weather conditions that could threaten life or property.
- Provide real‑time information during police or fire emergencies and alert relevant offices.
- Maintain situational awareness during planned or unplanned civil demonstrations.
- Prioritize employee security concerns via email, phone, or internal messaging platforms.
- Troubleshoot CCTV, physical access control, and security software platforms.
- Multitask in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment.
- Analyze problems, identify causes, and implement solutions.
- Maintain strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Workspace.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Work independently while supporting the team.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in English; fluency in other languages is a plus.
- Conduct routine alarm testing and remote audits.
- Maintain daily logs and produce required reports.
- Escalate critical issues as needed.
- The position requires sitting and extended screen exposure.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum age 18.
- Pass criminal background check and drug test.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
- Experience in a physical security operations center (SOC), GSOC, or related dispatch center preferred.
- Year of related experience in crisis management, physical security, critical infrastructure protection, risk controls, or loss prevention.
- Experience in alarm monitoring.
- Knowledge of mass notification tools.
- Ability to analyze large amounts of information under high stress.
- Prepared to work 24/7 on designated shifts with flexibility for extra hours.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or related field preferred.
- Prior camera and/or alarm integrator experience is a plus.
- Authorized to obtain a Tennessee Alarm Monitoring License.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings; respond to questions from managers, customers, and the public.
- Type at least 45 words per minute.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office (Outlook).
Valid Driver's License.
