The Garage Porter maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the designated garage areas and outside vehicle lots. Responsibilities include managing customer and staff traffic, locating available parking, assisting Security with lost cars, car boosts, surveillance, and enforcing Erlanger’s smoke-free campus policy. Additional duties as assigned within the Parking Department.

• Required:
  
  High School Graduate or equivalent
• Preferred:
  High School Graduate or equivalent

• Required:
  
  2+ years' experience in security and customer service
• Preferred:
  Experience in security or customer service

• Required:
  
  Valid driver's license
• Preferred: C Endorsement Driver's License

Erlanger's Parking and Transportation Services Department manages the daily operations of parking systems, including garages, outside lots, and shuttle services across campuses.

• Maintain cleanliness of all garage entrances and notify staff of cleaning needs.
• Enforce no-smoking policy within the garage, speaking with staff and visitors as needed.
• Assist customers with locating cars, provide battery boosts, and help with car issues by contacting tow services or assistance.
• Serve as the eyes and ears for Security, reporting issues and using company communication tools.
• Guide customers to available parking, provide directions, and keep track of open spaces.
• Log maintenance issues and coordinate repairs.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and assist customers during garage backups.
• Ensure a positive experience for all garage visitors.
